Saving/Recovering Website Favorites?

I had to re-install my laptop and I saved my website favorites folder in my usb drive and so when it was back on i copy and paste my favorites folder to the admins documents and settings as well as on the favorites tab. the folder was there but i lost some of my favorite ones. i thought when i transferred them in the usb, they will all be there.i was so crying because the sub-folders that are really important to me (in particular home decorations,arts and crafts,diy projects) were lost and did not copy. these are so important coz i have saved tons of websites with specific projects in there coz i need them for reference when it’s time for me to get a house coz i wanna personally work on the decor.is there any way the folders can be recovered? and is there a way to save web favorites from a website so anywhere i go i could have access to them?please, please help…thanks!
